The Professional Darts Corporation is delighted to announce Ladbrokes as the title sponsor of the UK Open and Players Championship Finals.
The leading bookmaker will turn Butlin’s Minehead Resort red for the 2024 Ladbrokes UK Open in March and November’s Ladbrokes Players Championship Finals.
Ladbrokes has a long-held association with the PDC, having sponsored the World Darts Championship from 2002/03-2013/24, the Players Championship Finals from 2018-21 and the UK Open from 2019-21.
“It’s fantastic to team up with Ladbrokes again,” said PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter.
“Ladbrokes has a rich history in darts and we look forward to working with them on two of our biggest events.
“The UK Open and Players Championship Finals never fail to provide action-packed weekends for fans in the venue and viewers worldwide.”
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We cannot wait to get stuck into the action once again down in Minehead and are delighted to be back on board with the PDC, kicking off with what’s sure to be a cracking UK Open next month.
He added: “It’s a three-horse race between Michael van Gerwen, Luke Littler and Luke Humphries as far as our traders are concerned, but as recent history shows, anything can happen given the UK Open’s draw format… just ask last year’s 150/1 shot, Andrew Gilding.”
The Ladbrokes UK Open will be held from March 1-3 as 160 players compete in the annual festival of darts, while the Ladbrokes Players Championship features 64 of the world’s top stars.
Each event will see players battle it out for TV silverware and £600,000 in prize money at Butlin’s Minehead Resort.
Butlin’s Weekend Break Packages are available through www.bigweekends.com, which include accommodation and tickets for all six sessions of darts
