Darts fans will be able to enjoy more action than ever before from Players Championship events, with two additional streamed boards broadcasting live matches from this weekend onwards.
Players Championship events have featured two streamed boards in recent years, providing global coverage from the PDC’s hugely important ProTour.
Live match coverage from a further two streamed boards will now be available on PDCTV and through bookmakers’ websites from Players Championships 11-12 on May 20-21 from the Morningside Arena, Leicester.
The additional boards will see the number of matches broadcast live on PDCTV increase from 21 to 39 per Players Championship event.
PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter commented: “We are pleased to be able to increase our offering of live matches from Players Championship events.
“This development follows on from the success of our UK Open coverage which saw all eight boards streamed live from Minehead in March.
“It is a natural extension of our streaming coverage to allow fans to see more of their favourite stars in action during Players Championships, and will provide additional value for PDCTV subscribers.”
Fans will be able to select which board to watch on PDCTV during each event by using the toggle beneath the video player.
All Players Championship events are broadcast live on PDCTV, with ten of the year’s 30 tournaments having already been staged.
Each Players Championship event will start at 1300 local time.
European Tour and PDC Women’s Series events are also broadcast on PDCTV, along with coverage of all televised tournaments.
