Evan Lane has been appointed as the players representative to Dartplayers Australia. DPA recognises that players need to be able to communicate to a person about comments around tournaments. Evan brings a strong understanding of tournament organisation but will now be able to use player feedback to improve on tournaments in the future.
The aim of this position is to help players improve their whole of tournament experience event on event.
DPA Chairman Kevin Berlyn is pleased that Lane has accepted the position and will be able to communicate player feedback to management more effectively in this new position.
“Whilst some players are willing to give feedback on a tournament, other players may have not known where to have their ideas head in the past. Until now feedback has not gone to one central person for collation.”
“The great thing about this position is that Evan will get to hear from any players who have ideas and feedback and communicate those group key messages back to management with the aim of learning from each event and improving future events.”
“I look forward to hearing from Evan with player overall feedback. The more players we hear from the better the feedback is.”
“We look forward to hearing from Evan in our aim to continually improve DPA player experiences. As an organisation we can learn from initiatives players have liked and continue them plus also learn what has been less successful and may need adjusting in future events. Evan’s position is about giving every player a chance to have their say.”
