It was a strong weekend for Cayden Smith as he made a final and a semi-final on the JDC Super 16 tour. Day one proved to be a very successful one for the West Midlander as he defeated Jack Nankervis and Jenson Walker en route to a semi-final loss to Luke Littler.
He would go a step further in the second tournament, coming through last leg deciders with Callum Beddow and Mitchell Lawrie to set up a final meeting with Thomas Banks.
Smith pushed his opponent hard in the final, coming from 4-1 down to send it to a decider, but was unable to creep over the line against last year’s Super16 runner-up.
Sunday would prove to less successful for Smith, Development Tour and JDC World Champion, Luke Littler, standing in his way in both events. This all followed a final in an ADC Vault on Tuesday evening, losing out to Reece Colley after a strong performance throughout the night.
There was also a quarter-finals run for Adam Dee at his local ADC Vault event, this follows some string runs in local competition the previous week. Many of Team360 will now be off to Denmark to represent their countries in a big week of WDF darts for the World Cup singles and team events.
