Modern Amateur Darts (MAD) continues to drive darts forward with their latest major darts weekend bonanza that sees the rapidly growing organisation offering a whopping £50,000.00 Prize Fund Big Weekend.

The MAD Big Weekend features 3 days of red hot competitive darts, starting with Friday’s Flagship Major Event, the MAD British Amateur Open Finals.
Bunn Leisure’s Head of Events, Ryan Davis, said “Having the opportunity to promote and be part of this MAD Major Weekend with a MODUS Professional Player Exhibition is really new territory for us, which is testament to the passion we’ve seen displayed for darts by the Team at MAD and were very much looking forward to this being the first of many superb weekend for all darts fans and players alike”.
The British Amateur Open finals will be played by 64 players that have qualified from all over Great Britains 16 Super Regions, coming together to battle out for the British Amateur Open title, in an event carrying a £30k prize fund.
Following the conclusion of the British Amateur Open Finals, the MAD Gauntlet kicks off, where the invited 30 players, consisting of MAD Championship Title Holders, Wildcards, and even players from the crowd, will be drawn at random to compete for a £10k prize, showing the creative and exciting approach that MAD take to darts.
Saturday the 11th December see’s the MAD Membership Pairs event that has been hugely demanded across the length of the country, with overwhelming support from every one of the 16 single MAD Super Regional Directors.

MAD have mixed the Tour Professionals in with a superb exhibition on the Saturday night, that will bring the world’s most famous players up close and personal with a meet and great followed by some scintillating darts and crowd participation.
MODUS Commercial Director Billy Lovell added “When we looked at MAD’s schedule for the weekend it was a great idea to add a mix of top professionals into the event, giving that major event feel. All the players at the top have played in grass roots events with great memories, so to bring an event to this weekend will no doubt be a superb occasion”
Sunday the 12th features the MAD Membership Singles and the MAD Ladies Open, again with great guaranteed prize funds of £5,000.00 and £3,500.00 respectively.
MAD’s first Major Weekend demonstrates the serious passion that they have to back grass roots with real events, with Steve Brown concluding
